Argentina (+135)
Argentina sits at the top of the CONMEBOL standings for the 2026 World Cup. It has managed to collect nine points versus Canada, Chile, and Peru in the group stage. The first half of the match against Canada was open and exciting but the breakthrough only came after halftime. A goal by Lautaro Martinez in the 88th minute separated the World Cup champs from Chile. Group play ended with a 2-0 win against Peru.
Lionel Messi is surrounded by high-quality players and a strong defense line. Argentina shouldn’t face much resistance, possibly right until the finals. On Thursday, July 4thArgentina will play a quarter-final match against Ecuador.
Brazil (+300)
The Brazilian National team is incredibly talented and won the competition in 2019. It experienced a dip leading up to the tournament and Neymar is missing the tournament due to an injury. Brazil dominated Costa Rica but couldn’t get through its sturdy defense. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. It did manage to beat Paraguay 4-1 and is now facing a match against Colombia as the Group D finale. They could finish the group stage strong in this match.
Uruguay (+500)
Uruguay is tied with Argentina for 15 titles in Copa America history. However, the last time it won was in 2011.
Uruguay beat Panama 3-1 and Bolivia 5-0 in the group round. According to the Copa America schedule, its next match is against the United States. The future of the USA team will be decided in this match.
Colombia (+700)
Colombia may not be one of the top contenders but it had a good start with a 2-1 win over Paraguay. In 2021, they beat Uruguay in the quarterfinals but fell to Argentina on penalties in the semi-finals. As Brazil didn’t manage to get all three points in the opener, Colombia has an inside path to win Group D. This could set up a meeting with the United States in the quarter-finals.
USA
The USMNT began on a winning note with a 2-0 victory over Bolivia. However, Panama beat the team in the next group-stage game by 2-1. It didn’t help that the U.S. team played nearly the entire match with 10 men after an 18th-minute red card. The Panama win left the U.S. team with only three scenarios for advancing, depending on whether it wins, draws, or loses against Uruguay. The odds of an outright US win rocketed to +2,900 with the defeat against Panama.
